The work

Being a light holder, a peace maker, or whatever we call ourselves at this time on the planet is not just about yoga after work, or going on tours to Machu Picchu, and exchanging scenic affirmations on social media sites — all of which I enjoy (and would enjoy) — it is also about going into the deepest, darkest sub-basements of the human soul and psyche in ourselves and our brothers and sisters everywhere on the planet, even into past karmic lives, and bringing in the Light, without judgment. Holding the Light in the dark corners of the human heart to reveal the illusions that hide there in all of us, and then watch them instantly vanish into Truth, Oneness, and Love. What we do for another, we do for ourselves and the planet.

Everyone and everything outside of us is a symbol and a projection of something inside of us, positive and negative.

close the eyes and connect with the heart.

in the silence of the mind, bring up the image of someone you love deeply and silently say:

“I forgive me in you. I forgive you in me.

I love me in you. I love you in me.

I bless me in you. I bless you in me.

I release me in you. I release you in me.

It is done.”

then bring into the imagination someone you are neutral about, a stranger perhaps and repeat.

then bring into the imagination someone you have issues with.

then bring into the imagination the world and all people everywhere.

then bring into the imagination yourself.

What are we?

Why do we shout in anger?

A Hindu saint, who was visiting river Ganges to take bath, found a group of family members on the banks, shouting in anger at each other. He turned to his disciples smiled and asked. “Why do people shout in anger shout at each other?”

Disciples thought for a while, one of them said, “Because we lose our calm, we shout.”

“But, why should you shout when the other person is just next to you? You can as well tell him what you have to say in a soft manner,” asked the saint.

Disciples gave some other answers but none satisfied the other disciples. Finally the saint explained…

“When two people are angry at each other, their hearts distance a lot. To cover that distance they must shout to be able to hear each other. The angrier they are, the stronger they will have to shout to hear each other to cover that great distance.

What happens when two people fall in love? They don’t shout at each other but talk softly, Because their hearts are very close. The distance between them is either nonexistent or very small…”

The saint continued, “When they love each other even more, what happens? They do not speak, only whisper and they get even closer to each other in their love. Finally they even need not whisper, they only look at each other and that’s all. That is how close two people are when they love each other.”

He looked at his disciples and said. “So when you argue do not let your hearts get distant, Do not say words that distance each other more, Or else there will come a day when the distance is so great that you will not find the path to return.”

An intention for 2014

For far too long we have set the bar for happiness so low with the excuse ‘that’s just life’. No. Life reflects our expectations. Perhaps we should start with better expectations, such as replacing words like happiness, joy, peace, etc, with words like magnificence, bliss, perfection, glory, grandeur, sacred, ecstasy, sublime. No more compromising on our unspeakable glory and the unspeakable perfection of others.

A gift

Imagine you are a powerful Divine Being with a magic wand that can perform any miracle and then imagine someone you love, touch them with your wand and say:
You are free of pain.
You are free of suffering.
You are happy.
You are filled with loving kindness. You are awakened.
Then imagine someone you’re neutral about and do and say the same thing.
Then imagine someone you have issues with.
Then imagine the earth and say: All people everywhere are free of pain, etc.
Finally, imagine yourself and touch the wand to your heart and say the same words.
